Summary Job Description

The Quality Analyst has a wide variety of roles ranging from administrative, record-keeping and report writing, hands-on manufacturing support work and physical handling of non-conforming product and returned goods and suspect material. The Quality Analyst checks the implementation of the quality system, conducts quality audits, and monitors and records results from processes and procedures within manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in handling of internal and supplier incident reports in performance reporting system
  • Analyze results from incident investigations and determine failure modes, root causes, corrective actions and generate trend reports
  • Assist in verifying product conformity with the use of mechanical and other optical or electronic measurement devices
  • Coordinate and assist the quality management in providing quality metrics to the organization
  • Support Receiving Inspection for First Article Inspections
  • Assist with the segregation and quarantine of non-conforming products at the sites as well as in the enterprise performance reporting system
  • Conduct internal process and system audits to verify the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Assist with generating quarterly quality performance score card for suppliers

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree in Engineering, Business, or another related field.
  • 5+ years in a quality control/ assurance role in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
  • Knowledge conducting Product/ Service failure investigations using well defined Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) tools
  • Ability to use an enterprise performance reporting system (SAP, JDE, ORACLE) to analyze date
  • Ability to manage testing and measurement devices system
  • Manage the Quality Management Systems (QMS) as well as process audits using the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 or API Q1
  • Well organized, proactive and ability to work on several projects at the same time under limited supervision
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Excellent communication skills both written and orally
  • Six Sigma Certification (Is a plus)
